<p>Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineering Engineer 3 (GCP) for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI(Hybrid). This role requires deep expertise in GCP to build secure, efficient, and production-ready data solutions while optimizing performance and ensuring strong data governance.</p> <p>Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Data Engineering Engineer 3 (GCP) job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion and curation pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT/Dataform, and modern cloud tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Architect end-to-end data flows on GCP-leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions-to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance data delivery.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement strong data governance, access controls, and security best practices to protect sensitive data across cloud environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Automate workflows and infrastructure provisioning using Astronomer and Terraform, promoting best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).</p> </li><li> <p>Continuously monitor, optimize, and enhance pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and scalability across GCP data platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to define standards, communicate technical decisions, and ensure high-quality data engineering solutions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>5-7 years in Data Engineering or Software Engineering, including at least 2 years building and deploying cloud-based data platforms (GCP preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java with hands-on experience designing cloud-native pipelines using GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataProc.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SOA/microservices architectures and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, along with CI/CD automation frameworks.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
