We rely on our talented and dedicated team members to provide reliable products with personalized service.</p> <p>We are seeking a Flat Bed Driver for County Materials Corporation located in Iowa City, IA.</p> <p>About the position:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive hourly pay. </li><li>Majority of freight hauled is for our company, minimal wait time. </li><li>Home every night. </li><li>Training for oversized equipment available. </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate customer service while interfacing with clients. </li><li>Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices. </li><li>Properly secure load prior to transport following DOT regulations. </li><li>Operate tractor trailer combinations. </li><li>Transport freight while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. </li><li>Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper PPE. </li><li>Unload transported material utilizing approved methods. </li><li>Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor. </li><li>Receive work assignments and report back on job completion. </li><li>Use consistent communicate with dispatcher. </li><li>Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Work in outdoor weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting. </li><li>Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds. </li><li>Standing / Walking / Climbing. </li><li>Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending. </li><li>Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder. </li></ul> <p>Experience & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years driving experience required. </li><li>Oversize experience a plus but not required; will train. </li></ul>
