<p>Kforce's client, a well-established Long Island based accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant - Restaurant/Food Industry in Babylon, NY. The firm offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a nice, flexible, friendly culture and wants to avoid a long commute.</p> <p>Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Bank and Credit card reconciliations </li><li>Senior Accountant will maintain and balance the general ledger accurately </li><li>Preparing trial balances, journal entries </li><li>Entering data, maintaining records, and creating reports and financial statements </li><li>As a Senior Accountant, you will perform General ledger work and tax write ups </li><li>Preparing income and business tax returns for companies, partnerships, and individuals* 3+ years of experience with accounting for the restaurant industry, including fast-serve restaurants </li><li>Strong experience with Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookup </li><li>Self-motivated and ambitious </li><li>Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and learn from other team members </li><li>Able to build working relationships with peers, management, and client personnel </li><li>Experience with Restaurant 365 and/or QSR software a plus </li><li>Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and Document a plus </li></ul>
