HealthPark DriveFort Myers FL 33908</p> <p>Department: Pediatric IP Cancer Center</p> <p>Work Type: PRN</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1/7:00:00 AM to 7:30:00 PM</p> <p>Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$18.75 - $18.75 / hour</p> <p>We are seeking experienced CNA's to work in theInpatient Oncology Unit at Golisano Children's Hospital Of SW Florida where we offer specialized cancer care. We need special individuals for this special place who can provide compassionate care and support for children and families coping with extended hospital stays. This unit combines lifesaving care and many comforts of home so children can focus on treatment and recovery. We help families right here in our area maintain as much of their normal daily lives as possible while a child undergoes treatment.</p> <p>If you have a background & experience in a hospital, hospice or with pediatric patients we would love to have you join our "special team"! Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).</p> <p>Experience:Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.</p> <p>Certification:Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.</p> <p>License:Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.</p> <p>Other:Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
