<p>Job Description</p> <p>MA Power Plant Mechanic</p> <p>Posting Start Date: 7/17/25</p> <p>Requisition ID: 50316</p> <p>Apply now</p> <p>Informations générales</p> <p>BOSTON, United States, 02215</p> <p>MATEP LLC</p> <p>Skilled ( >3 experience</p> <p>Construction / Installation / O&M Energy Solutions</p> <p>Permanent</p> <p>Full - Time</p> <p>What You Can Expect</p> <p>As our Power Plant Mechanic, at ENGIE's Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP), you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance repairs, overhauls, and testing of various plant equipment. This role will also provide supervisors with all pertinent information concerning this equipment and submit written reports as requested. You will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.</p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Perform, install, inspect, overhaul, and maintain various plant equipment including engine generators, pumps, valves, piping, traps, boilers, and chillers as necessary to meet plant operational needs </li><li>Perform maintenance and repairs to auxiliary systems which directly support the operation of the facility and within the distribution network </li><li>Prepare technical data and equipment observation reports necessary for proper diagnostic work and machinery history records </li><li>Determine and obtain the parts and supplies from stock as required in order to perform repairs, maintenance, and overhaul work; prepare stockroom requisitions as required </li><li>Organize and submit information to supervisors as needed to order parts and materials required in the general performance of job assignments </li><li>Maintain work areas and shop facilities in a clean, orderly, and safe conditions </li><li>Observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices and perform work in accordance with recognized trade and company standards and, where applicable, local, state, and federal laws </li><li>Participate in mandatory training and other programs </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>Three (3) years of experience as a mechanic or similar role in a Central Heating Plant (CHP) or similar environment </li><li>Proficient with precision measuring devices like dial calipers, micrometers, gauges and other instruments) </li><li>Possess or has the desire to achieve Massachusetts Forklift (1C), Hoisting (3A) licenses or Welding Certification </li></ul> <p>Additional Details</p> <p>This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis</p> <p>Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license; you will drive company vehicle</p> <p>Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies</p> <p>This position consists of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions</p> <p>Working Shift: Tuesday - Saturday Day Shift 6:00am to 2:30pm</p> <p>May be required to work overtime - relief, off-shift, and emergency coverage (nights, weekends) and/or other, as needed</p> <p>Must be able to work internally in the physical plant and externally on the satellite locations</p> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS programs</p> <p>Must participate in emergency response</p> <p>Ability to meet highest attendance requirements</p> <p>Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy</p> <p>Perform other related duties as required</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Hourly Range: $57.33 USD hourly</p> <p>Your position is part of a bargaining unit represented by International Union of Operating Engineers-Local 877. Many of the terms and conditions of your employment, including but not limited to work scheduling, wages, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits, will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement (the "CBA") between the Company and the union.</p> <p>This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.</p> <p>ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
