<p>Posting Number 0801715 Classification Title Nutrition Adjunct Faculty Working Title Department Department of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department Contact Email kcarter2@centralstate.edu Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Department of Agricultural and Life Sciences welcomes applications for an adjunct instructor of nutrition. This position will teach nutrition courses within the exercise science curriculum including but not limited to basic nutrition, nutrition across the lifespan, nutrition in health and disease.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Adjunct faculty typically teach a maximum of 11 credit hours per semester (undergraduate) primarily entry level courses in their area of specialty area.</p> <ul> <li>Teach undergraduate nutrition courses as assigned. </li><li>Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. </li><li>Evaluate and grade students' class/lab work, assignments, and papers. </li><li>Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. </li><li>Compile, administer, and grade examinations. </li><li>Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. </li><li>Develop and use multimedia course materials and other current technology, such as online courses. </li><li>Perform administrative duties as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching issues. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate studies in the area of nutrition. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Previous successful work experience with culturally diverse populations a plus. </li><li>Cope effectively with adversity and demonstrate leadership skills that promote collegiality and cooperation. </li><li>Committed to values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate studies in the area of Nutrition required.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Applicants with teaching experience</p> <p>Posting Date 05/05/2025 Closing Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants Position Category Seasonal Budgeted Annual Salary Commensurate with experience</p>
