<p>Job#: 3024994</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Seeking a QA Compliance Specialist to join a Biotech company in Philadelphia, PA.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The purpose of this role is to develop, manage and report the status of the QMS (Veeva) activities in support of GMP operations and maintain compliance to health authority regulations and established standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Build, maintain, and support continuous improvement of the QMS that encompasses GMP regulations in a seamless and continuous process (clinical and commercial operations). </li><li>Provide guidance/support and manage activities related to discrepance reporting, investigations, corrections, and actions for quality events associated with all areas of GMP operations including supply chain, manufacturing, and laboratories. </li><li>Partner with the Department Management/designee to ensure investigations and compliance initiatives are properly assessed and driven to completion. </li><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess compliance risks due to investigations, observations, and findings related to manufacturing activities of the site's standard to improve Right First-time performance. </li><li>Makes sound decisions be exercising judgement within generally defined practices and policies and applies appropriate notification to management. </li><li>Participate in Material Review Board forums. </li><li>Co-chair Change Control Reviews Boards. </li><li>Requires minimal supervision when identifying and reporting discrepancies from defined practices or procedures to management, recommending and assisting with implementing and assessment of corrective actions. </li><li>Provides training of QA owned procedures. </li><li>Represent quality team on cross-function meetings and improvement initiatives. </li><li>Drives opportunities for continuous improvement through project leadership and group engagement. </li><li>Assist in preparation and hosting of regulatory and client inspections. </li><li>Ensures proper escalation and remediation of all critical issues. </li><li>Participate in Site Quality Assessment processes. </li><li>Provide QA input/review for regulatory filing submissions. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor degree in Biology, Biochemistry or other related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment, in Quality Assurance supporting compliance programs and systems. </li><li>Must be proficient with VEEVA. </li></ul> <p>This role is 100% on-site.</p> <p>Only local candidates will be considered.</p> <p>Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
