A Special Education Teacher plays a crucial role in the education system, dedicated to students with diverse learning needs. The primary goal is to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive equitable access to education, specialized instruction, and necessary accommodations to succeed academically.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate and modify general education lesson plans</p> </li><li> <p>Assess students regularly and provide meaningful feedback to promote growth</p> </li><li> <p>Possess the ability to collaborate with co-teachers to deliver engaging lessons and adapt to students' needs in an inclusive learning setting</p> </li><li> <p>Integrate technology and multimedia into lessons</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a positive classroom community and manage student behavior effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with parents about student progress</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other teachers and staff</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in IEP meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise in differentiated instruction and universal design for learning (UDL)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use and integrate assistive technology in the classroom</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and planning skills</p> </li><li> <p>Empathy and the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and families</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Special Education, or related field</p> </li><li> <p>Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped certification required</p> </li><li> <p>Teaching experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to incorporate technology into instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent classroom management and communication skills</p> </li></ul> <p>We provide a supportive environment focused on student growth and achievement.
