<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The NEC Estimator is responsible for drafting and negotiating estimates for the National Estimating Center. The fundamental duties include compiling inspection notes and photographs from the production team, writing and uploading estimates, submitting necessary supporting documents, obtaining final approval, and communicating estimate approvals back to the production team. This position will employ relevant estimating software while collaborating and coordinating with appropriate stakeholders. This is a full-time position with a focus on estimating GC and Mitigation projects valued under $50,000.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Create a written estimate for work in the carrier-preferred estimating software (such as Xactimate or CoreLogic Estimate), or utilizing Jenkins' preferred estimating method if the job is not insurance-related. </li><li>Communicate with Project Managers as needed to support estimate preparation. </li><li>Upload inspection documents along with completed estimates, including drawings, pictures, measurements, work authorizations, and any other appropriate documents needed into the appropriate internal and external system(s). </li><li>Handle full negotiation of project through to estimate approval by insurance carrier or client. </li><li>Prepare construction contract and coordinate contract ratification </li><li>Manage the transfer of approved estimates to Project Managers for timely production. Ensure approved scope of work is understood by the local production team at the time of transfer. </li><li>Interface with clients and insurance representatives as needed throughout the entire estimating and bidding phases. </li><li>Assist Project Managers in producing change orders and supplements as requested </li><li>Meet all service standards set forth by Jenkins Restorations, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, adjusters, and/or other appropriate stakeholders. </li><li>Utilize current "Quality Control" review software to ensure estimate accuracy per company standards. </li><li>Submit complete estimates for carrier or client approval within 48 hours of estimate request from the local production teams. </li><li>Notify appropriate Project Manager within 4 hours of final estimate approval. </li><li>Create all requested change orders or supplements that are needed by the production team throughout the lifecycle of each job. </li></ul>
