You'll provide guidance, instruction, and support to help each person reach their full potential-whether it's learning life skills, engaging in the community, or developing personal goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Build trusting relationships with individuals and families while maintaining confidentiality. </li><li>Provide support in daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care. </li><li>Encourage and facilitate community participation, recreational activities, and social engagement. </li><li>Assist individuals with health and safety practices at home and in the community. </li><li>Help individuals develop and work toward goals outlined in their Habilitation Plans. </li><li>Transport individuals to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed. </li><li>Ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive environment in home and community settings. </li><li>Complete required documentation and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Collaborate with a team of professionals to coordinate services and support plans. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. </li><li>Valid driver's license required. </li><li>Must be able to obtain certifications in Adult CPR, First Aid, OPWDD Medication Administration, and others as needed. </li><li>Basic computer and documentation skills. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds and support individuals in a variety of home and community environments. </li></ul> <p>Contact Us</p> <p>For more information or to apply:</p> <ul> <li>Jamie Budai: jamieb@coarc.org | 518-672-4451 ext. 2141 </li><li>Mikki Kay: mikkik@coarc.org | 518-672-4451 ext. 2143 </li></ul> <p>Visit our website to view current job openings and complete an online application: coarc.org</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
