<p>DNV's Columbus Technology Center in Dublin, Ohio is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform specialized corrosion and mechanical testing to assess material behavior in hydrogen, CO2, hydrogen sulfide, and various other environments. The research and testing performed in Columbus supports operations and infrastructure to meet the current energy demand, while accelerating decarbonization strategies that include transportation and storage of hydrogen and CO2.</p> <p>This role is based at our DNV office in Dublin, OH. Information received relating to accommodation will be addressed confidentially.</p> <p>For more information</p> <p>https://www.eeoc.gov/know-your-rights-workplace-discrimination-illegal</p> <p>What is Required</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or higher. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and hands-on work experience. </li><li>Prior experience with servo-electric or hydraulic load machines. </li><li>Self-motivated and capable of working independently. </li><li>Ability to adhere to specific test procedures. </li><li>Well-organized and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment while interacting with a diverse group of clients and co-workers. </li><li>Willingness and capability to travel up to 5% of the time. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Completion of pre-employment background and drug screening, along with random drug screening as per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. </li><li>Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs; capacity to routinely push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, etc., while handling such weight. </li><li>Ability to wear a respirator. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to rent and drive a car and tarvel on public conveyances when required </li><li>We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening. </li></ul> <p>What is Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with projects on a fixed budget. </li><li>Prior involvement as part of a project team. </li><li>Proficiency in handling LabVIEW-based data acquisition (DAQ) systems. </li><li>Basic understanding of electronics. </li><li>Knowledge of mechanical behavior and properties, such as stress, strain, fracture toughness, stress intensity factor, and R-ratio. </li><li>Previous experience in a corrosion testing laboratory. </li><li>Immigration-related employment benefits, for example visa sponsorship, are not available for this position </li></ul>
