<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING EMPLOYEE, PLEASE NAVIGATE TO THE INTERNAL JOB POSTING USING THIS LINK:</p> <p>https://www.myworkday.com/mohegan/d/inst/1$9925/9925$8007.htmld</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of physical sets within meeting spaces according to banquet event orders and diagrams while effectively managing and servicing groups of varying size for the successful execution of all details, enhancement of guest experience and maximum impact on overall revenue.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains complete knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards </li><li>Maintains positive guest relations at all times </li><li>Resolves guest complaints and ensures guest satisfaction </li><li>Monitors accuracy of physical sets within meeting space according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and diagrams, including room temperature, cleanliness and maintenance of convention space </li><li>Remains visible and available providing direction to guests as a first resource within the convention and expo center </li><li>Handles daily changes and additional requests of on-site guests </li><li>Locates, receives and delivers packages to groups and exhibitors within the group </li><li>Logs and maintains all transactions of package handling </li><li>Monitors operations of all departments assisting guests while on property to ensure a smoothly run program </li><li>Works cohesively with co-workers as part of a team </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent departmental data </li><li>Is an advocate of the company's Mission, Vision and Values on a consistent basis </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plans and coordinates with outside vendors to ensure successful programming for the group </li><li>Creates banquet event orders and uses Micros to track and bill groups for events </li><li>Assists with compliance of all Fire Marshall regulations </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associates' Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field preferred </li><li>Three years of customer service experience in the hospitality industry </li><li>Ability to speak English as a primary language </li><li>In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, four years of customer service experience in the hospitality industry may be considered </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li><li>Strong presentation and interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficient in Word and Excel </li><li>Ability to anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy or the time of day </li><li>Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy </li><li>Thinks clearly, remains calm and resolves issues using good judgment </li><li>Thorough knowledge of meeting space and all areas of the casino </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Knowledge of all departments related to Banquets and Conventions </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Intranet, SharePoint, Delphi, Track-It and Meeting Matrix systems </li><li>Must complete the Core Supervisor Training course </li><li>Fire and Safety training </li><li>SMART alcohol awareness </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office work environment </li><li>Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time </li><li>Must be able to wear the required uniform for scheduled shift </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
