<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Plant Manager,</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for the overall supervision, custody, and control of all inmates assigned to the industries plant/warehouse.</p> </li><li> <p>Make continuous inspections of the warehouse and surrounding areas for compliance with security, safety & sanitation standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts investigations of alleged misconduct on the part of inmates assigned to the area of responsibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts formal and informal inmate counts.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in instructing and directing inmates in program of discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees tool inventory and distribution to ensure a safe and secure environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares reports as needed/required.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform duties of Plant Manager when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule subject to change to meet industry demands.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant experience.
