<p>Title: Lecturer in Communication and Media</p> <p>Concentration: Undergraduate</p> <p>Division: Provost's Office</p> <p>Department: College of Liberal Arts</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Salary Range: Per Lecturer Pay Schedule</p> <p>EEO Job Group: 2 C7</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Southern Indiana invites applicants for lecturers to teach CMST 101: Introduction to Public Speaking and CMST 107: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication.</p> <p>Required Knowledge and Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Part-time public speaking lecturers are required to either: (1) have a minimum of a master's degree in communication, or (2) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours of communication coursework.</p> </li><li> <p>Part-time faculty in media production are required to either: (1) have a minimum of a master's degree in communication, mass communication, or journalism, or (2) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours of communication coursework, or (3) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least 5 or more years of professional experience related to the specific area of teaching.</p> </li></ul> <p>About the College</p> <p>For more information about the college, please visit https://www.usi.edu/liberal-arts</p> <p>About the Department</p> <p>For more information about the department, please visit https://www.usi.edu/liberal-arts/communications</p> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Click "Apply Now!" near the top right of this page to complete an application and upload application materials to the attention of the Search Committee Chair.
