<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Reading Resource</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/2/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Hamtramck Public Schools</p> <p>District:</p> <p>  Hamtramck Public Schools  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate w/BR, BT or BX Endorsement </li><li>Three (3) years teaching experience. </li><li>Must possess in-depth knowledge of The Science of Reading. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to facilitate small and large group instruction to achieve focused goals. </li><li>Knowledge of student individual learning styles. </li><li>Knowledge of Tier II and Tier III interventions to support student learning. </li><li>LETRS Certified (currently enrolled or willing to enroll). </li><li>Demonstrate competence in administering, interpreting and utilizing data from individual student assessments in order to improve instruction and raise student achievement. </li><li>Knowledge of MTSS. </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and human relation skills. </li></ul> <p>JOB DUTIES are (but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Assess and identify children at risk in literacy. </li><li>Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, administrative guidelines, or specific program requirements. </li><li>Provides direct instruction to students identified as eligible for reading services in individual and/or small group settings. </li><li>Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. </li><li>Work collaboratively with the school instructional team to develop a comprehensive program for individual students including such activities as individualized instructional plans, small group work, and whole group instruction. </li><li>Work on various committees/teams to support students, school, and community. </li><li>Attends and participates in faculty meetings and serves on staff committees as required. </li><li>Keeps abreast of developments, research, and new technology in the field of literacy education. </li><li>Participate in parent conferences. </li><li>Adhere to other duties as assigned by building principal and supervising administrators. </li></ul> <p>SALARY: $46,500 - $95,517per the HFT Teacher Contract</p> <p>Attachment(s):</p> <ul> <li>Reading Specialist 2025-2026.docx </li></ul>
