<p>Safety Coordinator</p> <p>Location: Tooele, UT</p> <p>We are seeking a Safety Coordinator responsible for leading and supporting all safety activities within the facility. This role ensures effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site safety and health policies and procedures.</p> <p>This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM position, with some flexibility based on business needs. Occasional Saturday work may be required during plant emergencies. No travel is required.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and deliver safety training for all employees, including office and outside sales personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct timely accident and incident investigations; provide prompt reporting to Plant Management and the Site EHS Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure corrective actions identified in safety committee meetings are completed and communicated within established timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct annual reviews of safety manuals and update as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain HazCom compliance and current SDS documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.) as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure SOPs, JSAs, and LOTO procedures are in place for all new processes, materials, and equipment before use.</p> </li><li> <p>Review safety documents such as safety committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspections, accident reports, and near-miss reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain records of all employee training, hazard corrections, and workplace inspections; submit required documentation to corporate for recordkeeping.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform weekly, monthly, and annual safety inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage hazardous material checks and hazardous area inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee annual safety program updates, including the Safety Manual, IIPP, Emergency Procedures Manual, and Emergency Contingency Plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, from shop floor personnel to Plant Managers.</p> </li><li> <p>Confidence and initiative in completing assignments independently.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school).</p> </li><li> <p>1-2 years of experience in a safety-related position.</p> </li><li> <p>First Aid/CPR/AED certification.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work performed in a manufacturing plant environment, which may be dusty, dirty, and subject to varying temperatures.</p> </li><li> <p>Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Eye and hearing protection required at all times on the production floor.</p> </li><li> <p>Safety-toe footwear (steel or composite) required on the production floor.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional PPE as required by department and management.</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-AS1</p>
