Under general supervision,</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for moderately complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger. </li><li>Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews. </li><li>Research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting. </li><li>Ensure assigned general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate with business partners providing guidance regarding accounting policies and procedures. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required.</p> <p>Minimum Experience</p> <p>Two (2) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Strong analytical and financial analysis skills required.</p> <p>Working knowledge of GAAP standards required.</p> <p>Proficient in business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web based applications.</p> <p>Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.</p> <p>Job Conditions</p> <p>None</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: This position is located in Memphis, TN. and is considered Hybrid.
