<p>AutoCAD Drafter / CAD Technician</p> <p>Location: Milwaukee, WI</p> <p>Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an AutoCAD Drafter / CAD Technician to support telecommunications and utility projects by creating detailed underground and aerial fiber layouts. In this role, you will work with AutoCAD and ArcGIS to contribute to permitting, mapping, and construction documentation for telecom providers, utility clients, and municipalities.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing industry, helping deliver accurate, field-ready plans for critical infrastructure projects.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Create and modify underground and aerial fiber layout drawings using AutoCAD </li><li>Generate land base prints for field use </li><li>Prepare detailed utility plan sets for construction activities </li><li>Produce permit drawings in compliance with municipal and permitting authority requirements </li><li>Perform mapping and drafting tasks to support telecom and utility design </li><li>Import/export data between AutoCAD, GIS, and related systems </li><li>Compile job books and project documentation packages upon completion </li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) </li><li>Ability to produce clear and accurate construction drawings and utility plans </li><li>Experience preparing permit drawings in compliance with regulations </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills </li><li>Basic understanding of telecommunications or utility layouts (fiber a plus) </li><li>Ability to manage and work across multiple file types and systems </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $35000.00 - $50000.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
