<p>We are looking for a Phlebotomist/Lab Tech Assistant to join our full service lab team!</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Collects blood specimens (e.g. venous, capillary, etc.) and urine specimens including proper drug screen collections (venipunctures on neonates are N/A in the outpatient area and on the inpatient units, may be required to rotate to the off-site laboratory. </li><li>Performs patient functions in the Hospital Information System (HIS) (e.g., registers, orders, updates, prints labels, etc.) </li><li>Performs various lab duties such as centrifuging sample, places tubes on analyzers (CBC) and other lab duties/testing as deemed competent to perform. </li><li>Answers telephone, takes and relays messages; communicates test results. Prints daily and final cumulative reports; sorts reports and properly distributes. </li><li>Maintains adequate inventory of necessary supplies; orders supplies; stocks storeroom. </li><li>Assists with training of various college and vocational school students. </li><li>Works flexible hours to adequately staff department. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of post secondary program in Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant and experience as a laboratory phlebotomist preferred, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
