<p>POSITION SUMMARY: Operates different types of sewing machines safely and efficiently while maintaining a high-quality level. Materials to be sewn include numerous fabrics, various vinyl's, and leather.</p> <p>PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Follows the manufacturing plans on sewing and assembling the units and pieces. </li><li>Ensures product is built following product and process specifications. </li><li>Communicates the current product, process or material constraints or issues to the team leader or supervisor. </li><li>Checks product to ensure quality standards are met. </li><li>Maintains equipment and workspace is in good condition. </li><li>Performs inventory transactions in the system as required. </li><li>Inputs production quantities and time data. </li><li>Create product and box labels. </li><li>Reports on issues, malfunction, or defective parts. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>1+ years of industrial sewing experience </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in single and double stitch sewing. </li><li>Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, blueprints, drawings, tape measure (including decimals) etc. </li><li>Must be self-motivated. </li><li>Must have an eye for detail and quality. </li><li>Ability to work with a team and/or individually. </li><li>Ability to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting for majority of shift. </li><li>Able to lift up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Able to twist, bend, stoop as needed. </li><li>Frequent repetitive hand/arm motion. </li><li>Safety glasses are required. </li></ul> <p>This job description is intended to describe the type and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job.
