<p>Insurance Authorization Specialist</p> <p>Garden City, NY</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm</p> <p>Temp</p> <p>FlexStaff is seeking a full-time Insurance Authorization Specialist for our client, in Graden City, NY,</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Review and obtain insurance authorizations </li><li>Verify patient eligibility and coverage details with insurance providers </li><li>Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve any authorization issues or discrepancies that arise. </li><li>Maintain accurate records </li><li>Calculate the patient's expected payment at time of service </li><li>Coordinate the submission of appeals for denied authorizations and provide necessary documentation as required. </li><li>Assist with front desk duties and patient intake as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal </li><li>Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills. </li><li>Familiarity with insurance policies, guidelines, and pre-authorization requirements. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Salary Detail</p> <p>The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
