The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>TYPICAL JOB DUTIES</p> <ul> <li>Pick up and dispose of trash, to include the proper handling of recyclable materials. </li><li>Dusts, sweeps, and/or dry mops. </li><li>Wet mops and/or spot mops. </li><li>Operates walk-behind or ride-on floor machine, wet vac, & carpet extractor. </li><li>Cleans glass: • All inside areas that can be safely reached. • All entrance glass, including doors, inside and out. </li><li>Sanitizes washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities (dormitories only). </li><li>Fills all dispensers in restrooms. </li><li>Vacuums and cleans carpets and walk-off mats. </li><li>Washes walls, woodwork, light fixtures, inside of windows, and other glass. </li><li>Removes snow and ice and cleans and/or picks up debris, such as leaves and paper, around entrances and fire exits (including fire escapes [dormitories only]) from the steps, and from the steps and walkways (generally distanced of ten feet or less) leading to buildings. </li><li>Reports to immediate supervisor or to work control damage and/or malfunction of equipment observed within assigned areas. </li><li>Performs other duties assigned within the normal scope of the department's responsibilities and the individual's capabilities. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>H.S. Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Ability to follow both written and oral directions. Ability to interact with customers(students, faculty, administration), co-workers and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner. Must be able to climb ladders, to bend and reach, and to lift(up to 60 lbs.)</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>H.S.
