Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Moffitt Cancer Center's Neuro-Oncology Program specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with tumors of the brain, skull base and spine. We offer diagnostic and therapeutic services in a single location, along with a comprehensive range of supportive care options that can improve each patient's quality of life during and after treatment. Additionally, investigational therapies, such as glioblastoma vaccines, are available through our robust clinical trials program, which offers patients access to novel treatments before they are approved for use in other settings.</p> <p>Referring physicians who entrust their patients to Moffitt's Neuro-Oncology Program are securing for them the highest caliber of medical attention. Within our advanced program, we have disease-specific specialists in the fields of:</p> <ul> <li>Medical oncology </li><li>Radiation oncology </li><li>Surgery </li><li>Neurosurgery </li><li>Pathology </li><li>Radiology </li><li>Screening and staging </li><li>Supportive care </li><li>Clinical psychology </li></ul> <p>Our Neuro Oncology Clinic currently cares for 30-40 patients daily.</p> <p>We are currently looking for a RN Advisor (Triage RN) to join our team.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The RN Advisor uses the nursing process to effectively plan and manage patient care by providing individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and family members over the phone, in accordance with established Cancer Center guidelines, nursing care standards, and Moffitt Clinic policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Using the concepts of Duffy's Quality Caring Model, the RN Advisor ensures calls are answered promptly and accurately while assessing patient's urgent signs and symptoms.</p> </li><li> <p>The RN Advisor provides nursing interventions, acts as a liaison with the clinical team and documents assessment and interventions in the EHR.</p> </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate</p> <ul> <li>The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: </li><li>At least 2 years of experience in Oncology as a Registered Nurse </li><li>At least 2 years of experience In Malignant Hematology as a Registered Nurse </li><li>OCN or ACON certification </li><li>Call center experience </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Answer calls using Moffitt Promise Guidelines (AIDET), the quality caring factors, and the nursing process to assess the patient's issue, plan and properly evaluate the care. </li><li>Complete, accurate and timely nursing documentation. </li><li>Exercise clinical judgment and decision making. Recognizes emergencies and takes appropriate action. </li><li>Identify, document and provide accurate and appropriate patient education. </li><li>Participate in evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice. Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations. </li></ul> <p>Credentials and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience </li><li>FL RN License </li><li>BLS Certification </li></ul> <p>An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
