<p>The Role</p> <p>We're looking for a General Manager who runs a great restaurant-every shift, every day.</p> <p>This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales, building a strong team, and delivering fast, consistent, high-quality guest experiences. You'll own the business as if it were your own.</p> <p>What You'll Own</p> <ol> <li>Restaurant Performance </li></ol> <ul> <li>Drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency </li><li>Manage key metrics: labor %, food cost, throughput, and waste </li><li>Deliver consistent results-not just good days </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Shift Execution & Throughput </li></ol> <ul> <li>Lead from the front during peak hours </li><li>Ensure fast, accurate service and strong line flow </li><li>Maintain ticket times and throughput standards </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Team Leadership & Development </li></ol> <ul> <li>Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team </li><li>Build and coach Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers </li><li>Create a culture of accountability, energy, and ownership </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Guest Experience </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service </li><li>Address issues in real time and recover the experience </li><li>Use feedback to improve operations </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Operational Standards </li></ol> <ul> <li>Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards at all times </li><li>Execute systems and processes consistently </li><li>Be audit-ready every day </li></ul> <p>What Success Looks Like</p> <ul> <li>Consistently hits sales, labor, and food cost targets </li><li>Strong shift execution-no chaos during peak hours </li><li>Low turnover in key roles (AMs, Shift Leaders) </li><li>Internal promotions happening from within your team </li><li>High guest satisfaction and repeat business </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>2-5+ years of restaurant management experience (fast casual or QSR preferred) </li><li>Experience running high-volume shifts ($1M-$3M+ annual volume typical) </li><li>Proven ability to lead teams and deliver consistent results </li><li>Strong work ethic-you're comfortable being on your feet and in the action </li><li>Ability to manage both people and numbers </li></ul> <p>Non-Negotiables</p> <ul> <li>Willing to work nights, weekends, and peak business hours </li><li>Leads from the front-this is not a back-office role </li><li>Holds high standards and addresses issues directly </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Base salary: + performance bonus </li><li>Health, dental, vision </li><li>PTO </li><li>Meal benefits </li><li>Growth path to District Manager </li></ul> <p>Company Introduction</p> <p>Five Guys Burgers and Fries is one of America's most successful hamburger concepts, not just for its food, ranked the #1 burger in America by the Zagat survey, but also because of its employees.</p> <p>We have a unique work environment where you're trained to work every position in the restaurant.
