The Facility Maintenance Worker II will be responsible for the daily janitorial maintenance, and general repair required for an assigned facility and grounds.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the work of employees and assists the supervisor in maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment. </li><li>Performs employees' duties in maintaining and repairing plumbing and sewerage systems, electrical systems, and associated equipment. </li><li>Makes carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment and performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas. </li><li>Operates machinery and equipment and assists skilled tradesperson. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Identifies maintenance needs or repairs and performs basic repairs of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance issues </li><li>Mowing experience </li><li>Mechanical maintenance experience. </li><li>Coordinating with outside vendors for services. </li><li>Painting surfaces or buildings. </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in a challenging yet rewarding career with the Kentucky State Police where you can make a positive difference in your local community. We would love to review your application.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: NONE</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures.
