<p>Regional Branch Manager - Northern Region</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Branch Administration</p> <p>LOCATION: Varies</p> <p>REPORTS TO: VP, Director of Retail Branch Network</p> <p>SUPERVISES: Branch Staff and Assigned Branch Managers</p> <p>GRADE: 16</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $90,000 per year commensurate on experience and education</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>A Regional Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple branch locations within a designated region, ensuring they meet business goals, maintain operational integrity, and deliver exceptional customer service. They mentor and guide branch managers, supervise regional staff, and promote growth through strategic planning and execution. They are responsible for the administration, regulatory compliance, and effective operation of an assigned branch, as well as for the support and oversight of specific branch offices and their respective managers within the region. The Regional Manager sets a high standard for customer relations and fosters the bank's sales and service culture through coaching, guidance, and motivating staff. This position requires achieving individual, branch, and regional sales objectives through new business sales, referrals, and maintaining existing account relationships. A Regional Branch Manager must offer leadership, training, and supervision to their assigned Branch Managers and other branch staff to facilitate the attainment of branch and regional performance targets while also developing future leaders within the department.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business or finance is preferred, or equivalent work experience </li><li>Minimum of two years of experience in a management role within a financial institution </li><li>Proficient communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to effectively identify and address issues faced by customers and employees </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and computer skills </li><li>Extensive analytical abilities </li><li>Capability to perform job duties independently, efficiently, and accurately </li><li>Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to deadlines </li><li>Strong leadership qualities, sound decision-making, and teaching abilities </li></ul> <p>MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provides senior-level guidance and support to assigned staff and Branch Managers along with their teams concerning customer issues, operational inquiries, product knowledge, and risk management. </li><li>Develops and manages branch management teams to achieve branch and regional sales and performance objectives, providing direction aimed at the ongoing growth and development of assigned branches within the region. </li><li>Embodies the bank's vision and values by acting as a cultural ambassador, inspiring employees to reach higher standards and fostering a commitment to excellence in customer service, sales, knowledge/learning, and mastery of our technology-driven products and services. </li><li>Holds regular strategy meetings with branch teams and provides direction focused on the ongoing growth and development of their assigned branches within the region to ensure that all branch and regional sales and performance objectives are achieved. </li><li>Monitors and evaluates the region's performance levels, communicates standings, and formulates and directs action plans for improvement areas when necessary. </li><li>Conducts regular visits to branches to ensure compliance with bank policies, consistency in sales and marketing efforts, successful implementation of new products and services, and to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with branch employees. </li><li>Ensures that all branch staff members are cross-trained and promotes operational efficiency. </li><li>Represents the financial institution to the community through positive customer relations. Engages in local nonprofit events, including serving as a board member when feasible. </li><li>Collaborates with assigned Branch Managers to identify and develop staff to reach their full potential. </li><li>Executes the full range of managerial responsibilities, ensuring complete adherence to the bank's policies. </li><li>Possesses MLO # through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry </li><li>Obtains New York State Notary Public </li><li>Ability to travel within the Capital District and Hudson Valley market is required. Employees are expected to meet all compliance requirements as stated within the Bank's BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Program. Failure to meet these compliance standards may adversely affect performance appraisals and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
