Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>This position requires experience with direct food service and management experience; working in a high-volume production kitchen. Experience with menu planning, food ordering, cooking, inventory, and grant management. Manage overall Nutrition Education and Service Center management by ensuring that the Central Kitchen, 4 Senior Centers and 4 Nutrition Sites are fully operational in accordance with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Grant Contract compliance and local Health Department Rules and Regulations. Responsible for the administration and supervision of food production, warehousing and distribution facility for the Elderly Nutrition Program, including the Congregate and Home Delivered Meals components. Manage the fiscal grant management for the Elderly Nutrition Program, Texans Feeding Texans and Summer Feeding Program. Responsible for the Supervision and professional development of Nutrition Education and Central Kitchen personnel, Senior Center staff and Nutrition site staff. Must maintain excellent public relations with elderly clients and the general public while establishing effective working relationships with other City departments, vendors, and subcontractors.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise Kitchen staff, repairs, maintenance and expenditures; manage the general operations of the Central Kitchen facility </li><li>Manage purchases with all vendors through supply agreements </li><li>Designee to Manage the production of meals for the City's Emergency Operations office during any crisis </li><li>Assist in the development, preparation and submittal of annual Grant proposals by monitoring expenditures and providing quarterly reviews </li><li>Initiate and respond to requests for researching and developing new grant proposals </li><li>Direct overall operations of the Meals on Wheels delivery service contract it ensures that meals are provided to all homebound clients </li><li>Administrator of the State of Texas web-based client management and billing software systems for the Elderly Nutrition Program and Managed Care Providers </li><li>Provide a wide diversity of direct social services designed to seek and identify isolated, minority and economically disadvantaged elderly citizens in the community </li><li>Conduct outreach, home visits, escorting, counseling, personal assistance, advocacy, referrals and case management </li><li>Implement policies and procedures governing client eligibility, enrollment, case management, reporting, and interagency agreements </li><li>Monitor compliance with grant contract standards and submits monthly program reports </li><li>Monitor and review Benefits Counseling Program as outlined by the annual grant objectives and monthly benchmarks; monitor and review the Senior Centers and Nutrition Sites senior center member intake process </li><li>Achieve annual service level goals as per annual RFP </li><li>Manage the operations of the Elderly Nutrition Program </li><li>Recruit Supervise and enhance professional development </li><li>Assist the Kitchen Supervisor in outlining the annual training calendar for kitchen staff quarterly trainings </li><li>Process Human Resource forms (Incident reports, shoe vouchers, reimbursements, etc.) </li><li>Serve as liaison with the leadership committee for Seniors Services Advisory Committee and Subcommittee </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Certifications, Licenses, Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Food Manager's Certification within 90 days </li><li>First Aid within 90 days </li><li>CPR within 90 days </li><li>Benefits Counselor Certification level I within (6) months </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum of (3) years of experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.
