<p>Manufacturing Technology Instructor -Special Term*</p> <p>Date Position is Open</p> <p>7/2/2025</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>$49,248 to $55,404</p> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>Summary</p> <ul> <li>The special term is subject to program funding. </li></ul> <p>The instructor will work with eligible students to provide instruction in non-credit manufacturing and skill development courses. The Instructor will work with the program team to ensure proper tracking of student progress, development and career preparation. The Instructor will report to the Program Manager. The class schedule is days Monday-Friday.</p> <ul> <li>Continued employment is contingent on attainment of (8) SACA credentials prior to the end of the first 12 weeks of the program. </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Teaches courses in accordance with the master course outline and within the schedule of classes. </li><li>Recommends changes to the instructional programs and curricula as required. </li><li>Keeps and submits appropriate academic records in accordance with program requirements. </li><li>Maintains instructional effectiveness by ongoing self-evaluation and incorporating current developments in instructional and learning strategies. </li><li>Assists the College in keeping technology, facilities, and equipment current. </li><li>Plans with the assistance of the Program Manager to insure availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment requisite to the successful teaching of assigned classes. </li><li>Assists in preparation of academic schedules specifically the manufacturing technology offerings. </li><li>Works with the Program Manager and other College staff in responding to student needs. </li><li>Coordinates program activities with lab facilities or organizations providing similar training for the College. </li><li>Prepares the recommended schedule for all specialized courses </li><li>Serves as a liaison to LCCC Faculty insuring basic instruction meets requirements for students to transition into advanced certificate and degree programs. </li><li>Encourages and assists students in utilizing self-service features available through the online platform. </li><li>Maintains memberships in professional organizations related to the program. </li><li>Promote safety culture and safe work environment for students and others. </li><li>This position is contingent upon funding of this program. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting) </li><li>Candidate must secure SACA credentials within the first 12 weeks of employment. The SACA exams are as follows: C-201 Electrical Systems 1 </li></ul> <p>C-202 Electric Motor Control Systems 1</p> <p>C-207 Programmable Controller Systems 1</p> <p>C-208 Programmable Controller Troubleshooting 1</p> <p>C-209 Pneumatic Systems 1</p> <p>C-210 Mechanical Power Systems 1</p> <p>C-301 Mechanical Power Systems 2</p> <p>C-304 Pneumatic Troubleshooting 1</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>One to two years previous teaching or coaching experience in the manufacturing or maintenance environment. </li><li>Minimum three years hands on experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment requiring electrical and mechanical installations and repairs or troubleshooting. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Desire to help others learn and perform well. </li><li>High degree of patience for different learning styles and pace. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds required. </li><li>Exceptional organization and planning skills required. </li><li>Ability to collaborate with others required. </li><li>Possess the ability to function well in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork as well as initiative and independence. You must possess a high level of commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. </li><li>Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution </li><li>Teaching experience in a community college or adult education environment. </li><li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish). </li><li>Experience with AMATROL instructional equipment and software. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
