<p>Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse 3 to join our team! We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians.</p> <p>This Registered Nurse 3 Position is located in the Medicine Unit and provides professional nursing services and serves as a lead worker to lower level professional nurses and paraprofessionals. This is a day shift position.  </p> <p>Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:</p> <p>Two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in nursing plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR</p> <p>A master's degree in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR</p> <p>A doctorate in nursing or public health.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a charge nurse, providing clinical leadership, unit coordination, and support to nursing staff. </li><li>Deliver direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, ongoing reassessments, and continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care. </li><li>Identify patient care needs, develop and adjust care and teaching plans, and coordinate discharge planning and post-hospital referrals. </li><li>Precept nursing students, train charge nurses, and orient new staff, including education on equipment and unit procedures. </li><li>Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes, and communicate critical information during shift handoffs. </li><li>Monitor patient condition and safety, promptly reporting changes and adhering to infection control and confidentiality standards. </li><li>Participate in staff development, quality improvement activities, required trainings, and maintain licensure and continuing education requirements </li></ul> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional.</p> <p>Work Location: This RN 3 position is located in the Medicine Unit.</p> <p>Work Hours: This is a day shift position.</p> <p>Compensation: Base Pay: $30 per hour</p> <p>This position is entitled to Shift Differential Rates for when actually working: Shift 2-$3.00 Shift 3:$4.60 Weekend:$4.60 Holiday:$4.60</p> <p>Additional Certifications Needed: ACLS, BLS and PALS (American Heart Association)</p> <p>How To Apply: </p> <p>No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.</p> <p>To apply for this vacancy, click on the "Apply" link above and complete an electronic application, which can be used for this vacancy as well as future job opportunities.
