<p>Our Opportunity:</p> <p>Petabyte Technologies Inc is looking for a Software Engineer II at our facility in Boston, Massachusetts to design and build software components of services and/or platforms.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing and implementation of software functionality using an agile methodology. </li><li>Build and modify scalable distributed software systems. </li><li>Partner with stakeholders and technology teams on how best to implement desired features and enhancements. </li><li>Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, are easily maintainable and are scalable under sustained load. </li><li>Participate in design and code reviews. </li><li>Collaborate to identify, isolate, and resolve malfunctions related to software. </li><li>Create and evolve system-related documentation. </li><li>Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years of experience. </li><li>Will also accept a Master's degree and 1 year of experience. </li><li>Experience must include 1 year with: software engineering; </li><li>Developing software components and/or services using Java 8, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JQuery, JSON, AngularJS, Tomcat, HTML5, CSS3, Spring MVC; </li><li>Working with web services (HTTP, REST); </li><li>Server technologies; </li><li>Quality assurance methodologies and automated testing; </li><li>Experience with any of the following: AWS, Terraform, Agile/Scrum, open-source technologies, responsive module design, continuous integration using Jenkins; </li><li>Service-Oriented Architecture. </li><li>Building Web Applications; </li><li>Relational databases like Postgres. </li><li>The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. </li></ul>
