<p>Job Description BAE Systems Intelligence & Security division is seeking an Open-Source Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Quantico, VA in support of a Maritime effort for (MAGIC) Marine Corps Intelligence Activity Analysis, Geospatial Imagery, and Counterintelligence Support Services program.</p> <p>What is it like working for a company that helps governments recognize, manage, and defeat threats? Exciting, invigorating and satisfying.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will provide direct support to MCIA to provide situational awareness and intelligence production and analysis for numerous AORs.</p> <p>Candidate will conduct all-source analytic production on sources and products of information available from public, private, and US and foreign government open-source materials within established security protocols. Analyze foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements.Required Education, Experience, & Skills At least 5-8 years of relevant experience with a portion of that experience being within the last 2 years.</p> <p>Must be able to demonstrate the ability to, in the areas as stated below:</p> <ul> <li>In-depth mission knowledge and skills related to All-Source Analysis. </li><li>A mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies. </li><li>Work independently with minimal oversight. </li><li>In-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and IC boundaries and clearly articulate findings. </li></ul> <p>Candidates will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct OSINT activities in response to Government Request for Information (RFI) or tasking by </li></ul> <p>the OIC including working with the Government to clarify and refine the RFI, collecting,</p> <p>exploiting, and analyzing-online open-source information, and preparing a report in the format</p> <p>required by the task, with minimal supervision using commercial internet, NIPRNet, SIPRNet and</p> <p>SCINet systems and tools.</p> <ul> <li>Populate and maintain databases in support of and in conjunction with Data Analysts and Data </li></ul> <p>Scientists.</p> <ul> <li>Document types and structure of open-source data, analyze and mine data to identify patterns and </li></ul> <p>correlations, map and trace data from system to system or source to source, design and create data</p> <p>reports.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the OSINT Team in using and evaluating available Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) </li></ul> <p>tools.</p> <ul> <li>Employ COTS tools to aggregate, structure, visualize, and assess available open-source </li></ul> <p>information; infer and assess the relevance, veracity, and credibility of the information and its</p> <p>source.</p> <ul> <li>Employ managed attribution (MA) software and associated online tradecraft while executing </li></ul> <p>OSINT collection activities; demonstrate an understanding of the limitations of MA tools.</p> <ul> <li>Develop innovative ways to combine data from different tools to provide analytical results that are </li></ul> <p>of greater value and relevance to Operational Forces.</p> <ul> <li>Train and mentor Marines in OSINT tradecraft and best practices, including the ability to </li></ul> <p>administer MCIA's Expeditionary OSINT Course.</p> <ul> <li>Identify, develop, and formalize new OSINT tradecraft and other SOPs to meet mission </li></ul> <p>requirement.</p> <ul> <li>Develops open-source research strategies to support specific information gaps. </li><li>Manually search for, exploit and analyze a variety of online open sources to include media, social </li></ul> <p>media, academic literature, videos, maps etc. in target language to augment information acquired</p> <p>through other sources and/or to fill information gaps.</p> <ul> <li>Use various tools and methods to determine authenticity and currency of information acquired </li></ul> <p>from the Internet.</p> <ul> <li>Create reports using Word and PowerPoint to convey research findings; generate Open-Source </li></ul> <p>Intelligence Reports (OSIRs).</p> <ul> <li>Verbally brief findings and research methods to various consumers. </li><li>Participate in meetings, conferences, and exercises. </li><li>Candidates will have completed a joint-accredited OSINT course. Joint-accredited OSINT courses </li></ul> <p>include but are not limited to: EOSINT (USMC), OS301 and OS302 (Army), ONI OSINT</p> <p>Fundamentals Course (Navy), Introduction to OSINT (USAF), DIA BOTC (DIA), NGA OSINT</p> <p>Course (NGA), NERD (SOCOM). Commercial alternatives to a joint-accredited OSINT course</p> <p>include but are not limited to: CASO (Black Horse Solutions), and SEC 497 and SEC 587 (SANS</p> <p>Institute).</p> <p>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Desired Experience: At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. </li><li>Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. </li></ul> <p>Pay Information</p> <p>Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.</p> <p>Employee Benefits: At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being.
