<p>Close All</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The University of Colorado Boulder Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution processes are based in a developmental and progressive response to student conduct violations, including academic integrity violations. These processes aim to help students acknowledge responsibility for their actions and learn behaviors that will help them succeed as members of the CU community. Coordinators are responsible for assessing alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct and Honor Code and determining appropriate actions. The Coordinator for Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution serves primarily as a facilitator for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution processes. The work in Student Life supports all factors of the student experience, no matter what department a staff member may work in. This includes where students live, eat, make friends, build professional skills, and find help if they need it. Many departments provide involvement opportunities, educational resources, and support services to help students find their community and build lifelong skills. Student Life also has shared services departments that support the work and staff of our student-facing areas, including areas like the Center for Assessment, Insight and Research, Business Services, Finance, Employee Experience, Communication and Marketing, and Technology Solutions.</p> <p>Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution provides students with individualized responses to support community standards and promote positive student behaviors and responsibility both on and off campus. Students are encouraged to think about how they are members of the larger Boulder community and consider how their actions and behaviors may affect others. The CU Restorative Justice program helps address the relationship between victims, offenders, and the community in a way that repairs the impacts of an incident, holds the offender accountable for their actions, and builds community. Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution also provides resources and support for students who are navigating discord and upholds CU Boulder's standards of academic integrity with the Honor Code.</p> <p>What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be</p> <p>Conduct Officer</p> <ul> <li>Adjudicate alleged academic and nonacademic violations of the Student Code of Conduct or Honor Code. </li><li>Facilitate restorative justice and conflict resolution processes. </li><li>Monitor students' progress in required activities and sanctions, and exercise discretion with the timeline in which activities and sanctions must be completed. </li><li>Adhere to the code of conduct due process standards, which are required to be aligned with Colorado State Statutes and federal laws, including, but not limited to, FERPA. </li><li>Apply effective sanctions that emphasize education, student development, and responsible behavior. Initiate referrals when appropriate to resources/departments on campus. </li></ul> <p>Administration</p> <ul> <li>Maintain files on all assigned cases, track sanctions and investigations as necessary. Provide follow-up contact with students as needed. </li><li>Oversee designated programs and special projects. </li><li>Provide support and feedback for the development of student behavior programs for conduct matters. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Leadership and Teamwork</p> <ul> <li>Provide exceptional leadership for all professional, classified, and student staff in SCCR and the conduct area for the Office of Residence Life. </li><li>Collaborate with Hall Directors to provide support in their role as hearing officers. </li><li>Participate on committees within Student Life and the university. </li><li>Provide support in the development and advancement of the department's philosophy, mission, and programs. </li><li>Manage student staff or graduate assistant staff as needed. </li></ul> <p>What We Can Offer</p> <ul> <li>The starting salary for this position is $56,000. </li><li>Onboarding assistance is available within the Student Life division guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>At the University of Colorado Boulder, we are committed to supporting the holistic health and well-being of our employees. Be Boulder.</p> <p>What We Require</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute. </li><li>1 year of professional experience working one-on-one with students on a college campus.
