This role serves as a working leader-responsible for performing advanced repairs and preventative maintenance while guiding and supporting Service Technicians in the field.</p> <p>This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in mentoring others while delivering exceptional service.</p> <p>Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To</p> <p>Service & Technical Execution</p> <ul> <li>Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on vending, micro-market, coffee, and breaktime equipment </li><li>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related issues and determine root causes </li><li>Handle complex or escalated service calls requiring advanced technical expertise </li><li>Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of equipment as needed </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Team Support</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a lead resource for Service Technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting and repairs </li><li>Support onboarding and training of new technicians in field operations and company standards </li><li>Conduct ride-alongs and reinforce safety, service, and operational expectations </li><li>Assist Service Manager with daily scheduling priorities and workload distribution </li></ul> <p>Operations & Inventory Management</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies on service vehicles and within the warehouse </li><li>Ensure all service calls are properly documented, including repairs, parts usage, and follow-ups </li><li>Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate trends to leadership </li><li>Maintain company vehicles, tools, and workspaces in a clean, organized, and safe manner </li></ul> <p>Customer Experience</p> <ul> <li>Deliver exceptional service while representing Five Star at client locations </li><li>Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs, repairs, and resolutions </li><li>Address and resolve service concerns with a sense of urgency and professionalism </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred </li><li>2+ years of experience in equipment service, vending, HVAC, refrigeration, or related field </li><li>Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills </li><li>Experience with refrigeration systems preferred </li><li>Prior leadership, mentoring, or lead technician experience strongly preferred </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds occasionally </li><li>Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping required </li><li>Must be at least 21 years old (DOT requirement) </li><li>Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card </li><li>Ability to operate company service vehicles and work in varied environments (warehouse, customer sites, outdoors) </li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Paid Vacation after 6 months </li><li>Seven Paid Holidays per year </li><li>Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance </li><li>401(k) Matching Program </li><li>Competitive Pay </li><li>Opportunities for Career Growth within Five Star </li></ul> <p>Why Join Five Star?</p> <p>At Five Star Breaktime Solutions, you're more than a technician-you're a key part of a team that keeps workplaces running smoothly.
