<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We are seeking a Mental Health Professional I - Assessment/Mobile Crisis, who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness. If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.</p> <p>As the Mental Health Professional I - Assessment/Mobile Crisis, under limited supervision, will provide mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management services to Center clients.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I - Assessment/Mobile Crisis:</p> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive mental health assessments for the purpose of initiating a service plan for each client that will include, but is not limited to determining provisional diagnosis, identifying the level of service needs, addressing client needs/goals for treatment planning. Provide evidence based clinical interventions. Provide therapy services as needed. Meet patients care hours standards. </li><li>In conjunction with the Access Center and clinical staff, identify persons in need of stabilization and crisis services, coordinates to provide mobile crisis and/or outreach services and interventions to individual and their families. Triage cases and responds to crisis promptly, assist staff members in attending to client needs, participate in clinical staffing. Provide advanced level crisis management services in accordance with Center policies and procedures. Provide services with a client-centered approach to care and adhere to mobile crisis standards. </li><li>Complete and submit clinical documentation that is clear, concise, focusing on client driven care, and meet required timelines and service elements. Complete documentation and service in accordance with QA/QI standards, policies and procedures. Demonstrate the use of Collaborative Documentation. </li><li>Adhere to laws, policies, procedures of the Center, OMH, and the State, including Corporate Compliance policies, procedures and regulations. Ensure required documentation is completed in a timely manner include signatures for Consent to Treatment, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices notices, and other required forms, meeting quality standards. </li><li>Help ensure the Center maintains CARF accreditation standards and positive quality audits. </li><li>Participate in activities promoting ongoing professional development and training. </li><li>Complete other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>This position MAY be eligible for SCOMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences that qualifies for licensure as an LPC or LISW. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Please be sure to provide specific clinical activities on your application and/or resume. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Post hire, employees must have:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform mental health assessments. </li><li>Assess levels of potential lethality of suicidal/homicidal behavior/ideation. </li><li>Develop treatment plans and manage the treatment of adults, children and families. </li><li>Knowledge about the impact of mental illness and knowledge about etiology and treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders. </li><li>A high level of attention to detail and task completion as well as dependability. </li><li>Familiarity with relevant systems of care and agency characteristics. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals, families, and other professionals. </li></ul> <p>This position is considered essential and may be called back during crisis/disasters/emergencies.
