<p>The Packaging Engineering Data Specialist is responsible for remediating, documenting, and maintaining packaging specifications data across a large portfolio of legacy and new parts, including Independent Aftermarket (IAM) and retail-focused part numbers, where required Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), container, dunnage, and labeling information is incomplete or missing. This role focuses on transforming fragmented or tribal-knowledge-based packaging information into accurate, structured, and auditable data using Microsoft Office 365 tools, low-code platforms and packaging systems. The position supports regulatory compliance, retail readiness, and long-term packaging data governance to enable controlled expansion into IAM and consumer-facing channels.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Clean up and remediate legacy packaging specifications with missing or incomplete EPR, container, and dunnage data </li><li>Document detailed packaging attributes to support IAM, retail, and consumer-facing requirements </li><li>Ensure packaging specifications contain the data required to support regulatory, labeling, and channel compliance </li><li>Support creation and documentation of IAM and retail-specific packaging specifications where required </li><li>Build and maintain structured packaging documentation systems using Microsoft Office 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Apps, Excel) </li><li>Work with Packaging Engineering, Regulatory, Sales, and Marketing interface roles to ensure packaging data supports intended markets </li><li>Validate completeness and traceability of packaging data prior to downstream use or approval </li><li>Identify data gaps, risks, and inconsistencies that could impact compliance or market expansion </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <ul> <li>Auburn Hills, MI </li><li>On-site role </li><li>Potential travel to suppliers, vendors, or other Stellantis locations </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Management, Supply Chain, IT, or related technical field </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience </li><li>Working knowledge of SQL (writing queries to extract, join, and filter data from relational databases) </li><li>Experience working with structured data, specifications, or technical documentation </li><li>Strong proficiency within a Microsoft Office 365 environment (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, related tools) </li><li>Ability to analyze incomplete or inconsistent technical data and drive it to closure </li><li>Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting IAM, retail, or consumer-facing packaging initiatives </li><li>Experience with data visualization and BI tools, such as Power BI, Qlik (Sense/View), Tableau, or equivalent platforms </li><li>Familiarity with regulatory, labeling, and compliance considerations for packaged products </li><li>Experience using SharePoint, Power Apps, Access, or similar low-code platforms </li><li>Experience supporting data cleanup, standardization, or legacy system remediation </li><li>Ability to translate regulatory or channel requirements into structured data fields within specifications </li></ul>
