Applications will be reviewed beginning in April 2026. Interviews will begin upon the completion of application review.</p> <p>This position will be responsible for effective instruction for assigned courses (Nurse Aide) which involve theory, skill demonstration in the laboratory setting, and a clinical component.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.</p> <ul> <li>Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner; supervises and evaluates student clinical performance </li><li>Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance, submits information in accordance with institutional and departmental policies </li><li>Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour for class, lab and clinical </li><li>Maintains a safe and orderly and compliant learning environment; uses laboratory equipment safely and proficiently; ensures lab and classroom materials are well organized and readily accessible; maintains the required DHSR supply list by having a systematic organization approach to lab and classroom materials </li><li>Grades and returns student work in a timely manner ensuring it is appropriately and accurately completed </li><li>Counsels students regarding grades and progression in the course </li></ul> <p>Assists with coordination of clinical site rotation as needed</p> <p>Maintains the clinical site agreements ensuring required documentation is complete, current and compliant with program and regulatory requirements</p> <p>Develops and implements classroom materials that align with course objectives and adhere to instructional standards and guidelines established by the Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR)</p> <p>Maintains course curriculum and instructional schedules. Assists with updating curriculum design and revisions as needed</p> <p>Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course as well as maintaining updated course materials</p> <p>Maintains regular office hours as agreed upon with the Program Director, with flexibility as needed to meet program and student needs</p> <p>Stays current with emerging instructional methods and classroom technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning</p> <p>Utilizes professional assessment strategies to evaluate and enhance student learning outcomes and instructional effectiveness</p> <p>Serves on college or department committees as needed</p> <p>Attends professional development opportunities when possible</p> <p>Maintains effective communication with instructors and other team members to ensure information is current accurate and appropriately shared</p> <p>Maintains consistent communication with Program Director of any concerns noted</p> <p>Supports the department, division and college goals, providing requested data in a timely manner</p> <p>Maintains current required documentation and immunization needed for this role</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>Able to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning and demonstrate a variety of instructional techniques and methods. Materials must be approved by DHSR</p> <p>Demonstrate innovation, creativity and enthusiasm while effectively engaging and teaching students with diverse personalities and learning styles</p> <p>Exhibits strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, fostering positive and productive working relationships</p> <p>Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform duties independently and with minimal supervision</p> <p>Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> <p>Proficient in using technology and the organization's, including, computers, and web-based resources such as BlackBoard, teams and outlook</p> <p>Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm and a sincere interests in helping students reach their maximum potential</p> <p>Knowledge of and proficiency in using laboratory equipment and promotes safety in the lab setting</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in nursing</p> <p>A current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina</p> <p>Unofficial transcripts must be attached with your online application prior to submission or submitted to Human Resources immediately upon completing the application. If your transcripts are not submitted, your application may not receive full consideration.</p> <p>Must have two (2) calendar years prior full-time employment, or the equivalent, in clinical nursing practice as a Registered Nurse</p> <p>Two years experience supervising Nurse Aides approval by the Division of Health Service Regulation (NC Department of Health and Human Services) and the NC Board of Nursing to teach Nursing Assisting courses</p> <p>The position requires standing, walking and talking during much of the course, to include the the theory, lab and clinical portions</p> <p>Must be able to complete clinical rotations in hospital and rehabilitation facility settings</p> <p>Preferences:</p> <p>Two years teaching experience preferably at the community college level</p> <p>Bilingual</p> <p>As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
