<p>Department</p> <p>The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art is located in Sarasota, Florida, and is a department of Florida State University. Learn more about The Ringling at https://www.ringling.org/about-ringling/careers.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Primary responsibilities for this role include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide excellent, enthusiastic customer service to visitors. </li><li>Greeting and thanking guests as they enter and leave the store. </li><li>Learning the stores products. </li><li>Proactively assisting visitors with their product selection. </li><li>Making suggestions to meet guest's needs whilst increasing sales opportunities. </li><li>Making thoughtful suggestions for additional products to purchase. </li><li>Answering general visitor inquiries, and processing sales at the register. </li></ul> <p>Additional responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Processing shipping orders and returns. </li><li>Helping to maintain the store appearance such as dusting, straightening, restocking, and other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb a small step ladder, stock products on high and low shelves, and often lift up to 25 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Helpful</p> <p>While helpful, these skills are not required to be considered for this role:</p> <ul> <li>Previous retail experience </li><li>Ability to learn a point-of-sale system </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>If qualified and interested in a specific job opening as advertised, apply to Florida State University at https://jobs.fsu.edu.
