<p>Summary: #The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing patient and family-centered care that is safe, efficient, timely and effective. #The RN partners with the patient and family to determine individual patient preferences, needs and values and ensures that patient values guide all clinical decisions. #The RN uses clinical expertise to integrate physical assessment findings with the patient and family preferences to establish mutual care goals and a plan to deliver optimal patient care based on best practices. The RN collaborates with the health care team to deliver holistic, timely care. The RN evaluates and documents the progress of the patient toward the established goals and outcomes and alters the plan of care when appropriate to expedite patient progress.# Education: ## #Diploma or Associate degree required; BSN preferred. Within 18 months of hire, the RN creates a written development plan to achieve an advanced nursing degree or certification in an approved specialty relevant to the needs of the patients served by the RN; Within 36 months of hire, the RN completes the academic program or certification. # Licensure: Current Rhode Island RN licensure.
