<p>Overview</p> <p>Perform robotic machine operations; read blueprints and perform basic inspection of finished parts. Perform GMAW welding on a diversified range of standard weldments using American Welding Society welding symbols.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Identify and obtain welding fixtures as informed by work order/job traveler and mount them in robot cell </li><li>Call up the corresponding welding program and run first piece to assure conformance </li><li>Edits programs and makes machine adjustments as necessary </li><li>Responsible to train robotic cell operators in accordance with Training Within Industry (TWI) standard work practices </li><li>Performs minor welding functions (tie ins, non-accessible welds or secondary welding operations that are necesarry outside the fixtures) </li><li>Prioritizes daily work for operators and load sets parts for jobs </li><li>Move jobs to next operation after final inspection </li><li>May be required to assume the Set up and operation of robotic welding cell as production needs require or in the absences of trained staff </li><li>Use computer to enter production data and print identification tag for parts </li><li>Communicate machine down-time, shortages, scrap, delays in real time to the team captain </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school or general education degree (GED) preferred. </li><li>General knowledge of blueprint reading and weld symbols, work instructions, measuring tools and metal finishing tools preferred. </li><li>Robotic Programing experience is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Complete standardized written documentation and correspondence. </li><li>Professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations. </li><li>Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions/Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Environment is a modern production facility with heat and air conditioning </li><li>Required to stand up to 100% of the time </li><li>Required to reach at or above shoulder level, occasionally </li><li>Required to climb and/or stand on an elevated step or ladder to perform duties of the job, occasionally </li><li>Required use of hands and fingers to manipulate tools and product </li><li>Use of hand tools, both electrical and manual, including hand grinders, air tools, and other fabrication tools. </li><li>Ability to maneuver, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, use extended reaching, and twist while performing select duties of the job </li><li>Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, regularly </li><li>Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, intermittently </li><li>Ability to lift 50 to 70 pounds, with assistance, occasionally </li><li>Ability to operate equipment up to 15 feet in the air to retrieve product or tools </li></ul>
