<p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform quality inspections of in process and completed product </li><li>Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal. </li><li>Internally Audit daily work activities within the organization to identify non-conformances in process that require sustained correction. </li><li>Escalate repeated non-conformances or advanced level problems to QA Engineers. </li><li>Ensures all associates in respective area are competently trained and practicing proper operating procedures to ensure a quality product is passed through all stations. </li><li>Identifies opportunities to build quality into the products and processes. </li><li>Works closely with engineering, production, safety, vendors to ensure product compliance. </li><li>Engage in any improvements which seek to drive the COPQ down. </li><li>Assist development of a fully documented SOP's for all activities within the organization. </li><li>Deliver training for any new quality improvement. </li><li>Supports Quality Engineering with root cause investigation and corrective action implementation. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>2 Year associate degree Required (Quality/Manufacturing Tech Preferred) </li><li>5-7 years' experience working in an advanced technical QA position in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>2-5 years' experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and/or tape measures) to do in-depth quality checks. </li><li>2 years' experience with leadership responsibilities highly preferred. </li><li>Quality related certifications and training highly preferred (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Calibration, 9-hour Quality Technician, etc.) </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work as a member of a team in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Ability to plan and organize your responsibilities according to needs of the company </li><li>Ability to make decision and self-pace your work. Strong prioritization skills. </li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving ability in an organized manner using 8D/NCR methodology. </li><li>Experience with Data Collection. </li><li>Ability to read engineering drawings and measure or test product to determine conformance. </li><li>Trained Internal Auditor and experience auditing to internal and ISO standards. </li><li>Experience training team members to internal standards and operating procedures. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>Ability to occasionally travel to vendors and clients to handle NCR's. </li><li>Ability to interact with multiple people at different levels to include but not limited to upper management, production, engineering, clients, and vendors to creatively resolve quality issues. </li><li>Must act in the best interest of Vertiv to clients and suppliers. </li><li>Must have an employment track record consistent with Vertiv Internal Job Posting standards. </li></ul> <p>Physical / ADA Requirements</p> <p>Due to the nature of our work, Team Members may be required to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, carry objects over distance, bend/twist, squat, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, use tools requiring manual dexterity, and may be required to operate powered industrial equipment.</p>
