<p>Overview</p> <p>The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VTDEC) is seeking an organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our Funds Management Team within the Administration and Innovation Division. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate and contribute to a team as well as work independently to produce accurate, high-quality reports and data analysis. Duties will include administering and monitoring federal grants, special funds, settlements, and other funds managed by VTDEC. This includes but is not limited to preparation and analysis of financial reports, statements, and budgets. We operate in a team-oriented, continuously improving environment in which the Financial Manager will become an important contributor.</p> <p>This person will be an important member of our team and will interact and manage relationships with internal and external agencies, employees, and stakeholders. Prior experience with grants, contracts, VISION (the State's Oracle-based accounting system), VTHR (the State's HR/payroll system), federal codified law including 2 CFR 200, along with advanced Excel and financial management skills are preferred. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently is also preferred.
