<p>Clyde & Co has an opportunity for a litigation attorney with 6+ years of experience to join our aviation, aerospace, automotive, and product litigation and regulatory practice. We are looking for bright litigators familiar with the litigation process, and an excellent writer who is highly motivated and proactive with their caseload-someone who will be able to act independently throughout the discovery process and assist in trial, with an interest in working on those matters.</p> <p>Our team is passionate about our practice and committed to efficiently and effectively meeting litigation and client-driven deadlines. This practice includes representing airlines; airports; municipalities; automotive manufacturers; government contractors; retailers; manufacturers of commercial, aviation, space, military, and consumer products; and their insurers.</p> <p>The open position is for an attorney located in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco but we are also open to other locations (must be licensed to practice in California) for the right candidate.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Taking depositions, arguing motions, and attending court hearings and mediations as required;</p> </li><li> <p>Drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents;</p> </li><li> <p>Conducting complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and drafting memoranda;</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing status reports and recommendations to clients;</p> </li><li> <p>Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation;</p> </li><li> <p>Working on all aspects of litigation, from the initial responsive pleading through trial.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Experience in the field of aviation, products liability, and automotive warranty is ideal. Preferred candidates will possess the following skills and characteristics:</p> <ul> <li> <p>JD from a reputable law school with excellent academic credentials;</p> </li><li> <p>Discovery and Law and Motion experience;</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act;</p> </li><li> <p>State and Federal court experience;</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills and Ability</p> <ul> <li>Admitted to the CA bar; If applying for the role in Phoenix, must be admitted to both CA and AZ bar. </li></ul> <p>Superior writing, and analytical skills;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong Interpersonal skills;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational and time management skills;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong work ethic;</p> </li><li> <p>Attention to detail;</p> </li><li> <p>Capable of working within a team.</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At Clyde & Co, we believe in supporting your professional growth while ensuring you have the flexibility and benefits you need to thrive. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
