<p>SUMMARY: The Security, Emergency Management & Facilities Manager provides leadership and operational oversight of organizational safety, physical security, emergency preparedness, and environmental services across Esperanza Healthcare Center facilities. The role ensures a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors while supporting organizational continuity and emergency readiness.</p> <p>This position supervises security and custodial functions and may provide direct frontline operational support when necessary to maintain service continuity.</p> <p>Safety & Security Management</p> <p>Oversee daily physical security operations to safeguard buildings, grounds, assets, employees, patients, and visitors.</p> <p>Ensure appropriate security staffing, systems, fire and life safety measures, procedures, and response protocols are in place to mitigate risks, including criminal activity, accidents, fires, and natural disasters.</p> <p>Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate security personnel in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.</p> <p>Direct and coordinate security activities and provide consultation to departments on safety and security matters.</p> <p>Liaise with local police and organizations</p> <p>Monitor security logs, investigate incidents, and prepare reports with corrective action recommendations.</p> <p>Ensure staff awareness of security responsibilities through training and communication initiatives.</p> <p>Coordinate access control, surveillance systems, and alarm monitoring.</p> <p>Participate in environment of care and safety rounds.</p> <p>Policy & Procedure Development</p> <p>Develop, write, implement, and maintain organizational policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures related to safety, security, emergency preparedness, facilities management and environmental services.</p> <p>Ensure policies remain compliant with regulatory requirements and reflect operational best practices.</p> <p>Conduct periodic review and revision of policies and procedures and coordinate staff training on updates.</p> <p>Campus Operations Support & Coverage</p> <p>Oversee public access points and common areas across all facilities to ensure safe, organized, and mission-aligned environments for patients, staff, and visitors.</p> <p>Ensure assigned staff provide appropriate greeting, assistance, and EHC workflow support throughout the campus.</p> <p>Monitor surveillance and activity across buildings, entrances, parking areas, and common spaces and ensure response to issues in accordance with established protocols.</p> <p>Coordinate shipping and receiving processes and ensure adherence to procedures.</p> <p>Ensure shared spaces and common areas remain clean, organized, and safe through coordination with custodial and facilities staff.</p> <p>Support operational logistics including room setup, furniture movement, and special projects.</p> <p>Support coordination of patient flow and visitor access across facilities in collaboration with clinical and operations leadership.</p> <p>Provide direct frontline coverage for security, monitoring, or environmental services functions when staffing shortages or operational needs require.</p> <p>Emergency Preparedness & Management:</p> <p>Initiate, consult and coordinate the development and implementation of standardized Emergency Operations Plans for every facility using regional and national best practices.</p> <p>Maintain and update all resource materials associated with emergency preparedness plans. Prepare plans that outline operating procedures to be used in response to and recovery from disasters and emergencies including, but not limited to, fire, active shooter (ALICE protocol), flood, outages, and human threats.</p> <p>Develop and maintain a detailed hazard assessment by location and type; and conduct and maintain a vulnerability analyses by situation type.</p> <p>Regularly evaluates planning outcomes, identifies gaps, and develops recommendations to improve district preparedness.</p> <p>Propose alteration, augmentation, and improvement of emergency response procedures based on regulatory changes, technological changes, and knowledge gained from outcomes of previous emergency situations.</p> <p>Participate in local and regional emergency planning groups and exercises. This includes participation in community threat response and at-risk behavior teams as assigned. Collaborate with other emergency management personnel, local, state and federal officials, schools and hospitals in order to facilitate plan development and response effort coordination.</p> <p>Conduct emergency drills regularly by conducting tabletop, functional, and full-scale simulation in conjunction with the appropriate agencies; modifies emergency plans based on the results of simulations to improve the emergency plans efficiency.</p> <p>Facilities Management:</p> <p>Manage Esperanza's three facilities by overseeing ongoing interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance needed to ensure the safety of each facility and to maintain a pleasant, safe, and welcoming environment to patients, staff, and the public.</p> <p>Manage and direct the custodial supervisor and staff in scheduled daily and periodic cleaning activities and oversees the facilities manager in identifying and scheduling planned maintenance and expediting repairs when needed.</p> <p>Ensure compliance with all state and local codes for facility and environmental safety and have the appropriate licenses and certifications.</p> <p>Monitor and oversee maintenance contracts for equipment and environmental services; participate in the identification and selection of new vendors and partners when appropriate to do so.</p> <p>Annually develop and manage the budget for facilities management and work with the Associate Operations Director to develop and manage the annual and long-range (three year) capital budgets.</p> <p>Competencies</p> <p>Self-directed and motivated</p> <p>Security industry experience in managerial capacity</p> <p>Experience in creation and development of policies and procedures.</p> <p>Ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs</p> <p>Proficient in conflict resolution techniques and training</p> <p>Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills</p> <p>Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail required</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to work well with people of various ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and life experiences</p> <p>Independent thinker and good problem-solver</p> <p>Ability to integrate faith into work-related tasks</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in related fields, or the equivalent combination of related education and work experience</p> <p>Proven customer service experience as a manager</p> <p>Familiarization with closed-circuit television and alarm systems</p> <p>Familiarization with building access control systems.</p> <p>Must be adept in the use of internet browsers and email clients, MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</p> <p>Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals as well as large groups</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>The ability to spend 75% of work time on their feet.</p> <p>The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</p> <p>Ability to drive the company vehicle</p> <p>Weekend and Evening hours variability can be expected</p>
