The incumbent is also responsible for welcoming and providing service to guests. completing check-ins and check-outs in an upbeat and professional manner.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.)</p> <p>Creates and ensures a fun-filled exciting environment promoting superior guest service, and working harmoniously with team members. Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guest in all types of business conditions.</p> <p>Greets all guest with proper introduction, in an energetic and enthusiastic manner.</p> <p>Answers telephone calls in friendly voice.</p> <p>Responsible for registering all guests in and out of the hotel in an accurate and timely manner while demonstrating an upbeat and professional demeanor.</p> <p>Processes guest payments and accounts upon checkout in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner. Maintains confidentiality and safeguards data.</p> <p>Assigns guest accommodations in accordance with procedures and policies.</p> <p>Handles assigned bank in accordance to established internal controls properly and performs accurate account postings to guest folios.</p> <p>Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, promotions and other situations affecting the daily operation.</p> <p>Accepts same day and advance reservations as required.</p> <p>Maintains guest relations in a positive manner. If unable to satisfy guests' complaints, refers guest to appropriate personnel.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned by management.</p> <p>Ability to handle multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.</p> <p>Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to keyboards, telephones, fax machines, copiers and printers.</p> <p>Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.</p> <p>Excellent guest service and communication skills.</p> <p>Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.</p> <p>Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.</p> <p>Regular and punctual attendance is required.</p> <p>Ability to work alone and perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures</p> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p> <p>Excellent oral and written communication in English</p> <p>Ability to work under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.</p> <p>The skills and abilities necessary for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent, in addition to two months of on-the-job training or related experience.</p>
