Many of these patients struggle with chronic respiratory disorders, so compassion and understanding are essential. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients every day, all while gaining extensive hands-on experience and knowledge.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:30 p.m. -- 11:00 p.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide assessment, treatment, care and evaluation to patients with respiratory insufficiencies. </li><li>Direct respiratory caregivers for delivery of care. </li><li>Implement and monitor patient care plans. </li><li>Assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop, implement and monitor patient care plans. </li><li>Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. </li><li>Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluate respiratory practice, administer medications/treatments and perform blood gas puncture and analysis. </li><li>Educate patients and families about the illness and provide information about community support groups and other programs. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program </li><li>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care </li><li>Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) </li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) depending on department </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Experience in critical care </li><li>Neonatal/pediatric experience when appropriate for site </li><li>Experience performing invasive procedures preferred when appropriate for site </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. </li><li>Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range. </li><li>May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $32.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $43.80</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
