<p>Description</p> <p>$250 hiring bonus!</p> <p>Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Clinical Office Specialist I, or II requiring at least one of the following certifications: CNA/Phlebotomy/EMT-B.</p> <p>Locations:</p> <p>Layton Antelope A</p> <p>Layton Antelope B</p> <p>South Ogden</p> <p>Murray</p> <p>Westside (Clinton)</p> <p>Specialties available:</p> <p>PRN-FT/PT (either Phlebotomy, CNA or EMT-B required)</p> <p>Gastroenterology-FT (either Phlebotomy, CNA or EMT-B required)</p> <p>General Surgery-FT (either Phlebotomy, CNA or EMT-B required)</p> <p>Allergy-FT (CNA required)</p> <ul> <li>Receive phone calls and respond to patient concerns. </li><li>Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions and procedures. </li><li>Schedule follow-up appointments for physician. </li><li>Assist with other office duties as needed. </li><li>Room patients, perform vital signs and obtain patient medical histories. </li><li>Stocking/cleaning exam rooms and office. </li><li>No invasive procedures approved - phlebotomy, injections, IV's, catheters, etc. </li><li>Phlebotomy work if certified </li><li>Other duties approved by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>CNA certification or Basic EMT certification or Phlebotomy certification required </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>One or more years health care experience preferred </li><li>Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job </li></ul> <p>Performance Requirements:</p> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Understand prior authorizations and the referral process </li><li>Understand templates that pertain to information received from the patient and be able to create an appointment in NextGen with appropriate protocols </li><li>Complete credentialing test yearly </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Good communication skills </li><li>Understand and perform blood pressure measurements and vital signs </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Able to work in stressful situations </li><li>Able to prioritize patients and needs of office </li><li>Good organization skills including able to maintain office flow </li><li>Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Providers </li></ul> <p>Equipment Operated:</p> <ul> <li>Standard medical exam/office equipment, which may include computerized health information management system for medical records, blood pressure machine, scales, etc. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space </li></ul> <p>Mental/Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies </li><li>Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients </li></ul>
