<p>Summer Associates - Claflin University</p> <p>The AmeriCorps Summer Associate Program supports low-income students and community members through initiatives focused on Healthy Futures, K-12 academic success, and Postsecondary Access, Retention, and Persistence. Summer Associates provide direct service during critical summer months by assisting with outreach, life skills and nutrition education workshops, academic support activities, enrollment assistance, and structured student engagement efforts. Through collaboration with campus and community partners, Summer Associates help expand program capacity, promote healthy behaviors, strengthen academic engagement, and support continued enrollment and persistence. This role contributes to advancing educational attainment and long-term economic mobility for low-income communities. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : Summer Associates will provide direct service and implementation that support and advance the overall goal of the program in the areas of Healthy Future and Education initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting outreach to low-income students and families, assisting with enrollment and re-engagement efforts, supporting life skills and nutrition education workshops, providing mentoring and academic support activities, and assisting with summer transition programming. Summer Associates will also support event logistics, administer surveys, maintain accurate data entry and service documentation, participate in required training and supervision, and collaborate with campus and community partners to promote student engagement, well-being, and continued educational success.
