<p>The Social Work Program Coordinator provides administrative and clinical leadership for the Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) programs, ensuring recovery-oriented, high-quality mental health services for Veterans. The role oversees staff, program operations, treatment planning, reporting, and compliance across multiple VA Hudson Valley locations.</p> <p>VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU</p> <p>The incumbent oversees program development, staff supervision, performance improvement, and recovery-oriented service delivery across multiple locations, including both main campuses (Montrose and Castle Point) and seven community clinics as needed. The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality psychosocial treatment, compliance with national reporting requirements, and alignment with VA's Recovery Model.</p> <p>This position requires independent judgment, strong leadership, skill in interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to promoting Veteran recovery and rehabilitation through evidence-based and Veteran-centered care. Duties include but are no limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provides administrative and clinical oversight for MHICM and PRRC programs, ensuring efficient and recovery-oriented operations. </li><li>Implements program policies, evaluates service quality, and develops improvement strategies. </li><li>Supervises social work staff, establishes performance standards, provides feedback, and supports team mission execution. </li><li>Advocates for and integrates the VA Recovery Model throughout both programs. </li><li>Develops and monitors psychosocial treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams; determines use of VA and community resources. </li><li>Provides independent clinical consultation and treatment recommendations for complex cases. </li><li>Prepares required data reports for VACO, VISN, NEPEC, MHCC, and other governing bodies. </li><li>Coordinates with Quality Management to prepare for accreditation reviews. </li><li>Leads facility efforts to implement and evaluate recovery-oriented services; reports findings to the National Recovery Coordinator (NRC) and implements corrective actions. </li><li>Conducts ongoing program evaluation through peer review, case conferences, and research-informed practices. </li><li>Provides orientation, training, and staff development for Social Workers, interns, and interdisciplinary partners. </li><li>Offers technical assistance to state, local, and private agencies and universities based on program review findings. </li><li>Performs program analysis, planning, and assessment activities; manages key project components. </li><li>Oversees operations across multiple campuses and community clinics, requiring independent decision-making and remote supervision. </li><li>Provides administrative or clinical coverage as needed; may work rotating or flexible shifts. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -4:30 PM</p> <p>Telework: Available</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #: 21245O</p> <p>Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized</p> <p>Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p>
