<p>Overview</p> <p>Midwest Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking a dependable and adaptable Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated dental assistant who enjoys variety, teamwork, and travel within a clinical setting.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>In this role, you will primarily travel with a periodontist for approximately two weeks per month, typically on an every-other-week schedule, with the potential to expand to a third week in the future. During alternating weeks, you will support other offices in the region, assisting general dentists and hygienists as needed.</p> <p>This position requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and comfort with a fast-paced, mobile work environment.</p> <p>Schedule (days/hours)</p> <p>Monday-Thurs 7:45-5, Friday 7:45-4</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Travel with the periodontist to assigned office locations (approximately 2 weeks per month) </li><li>Set up, transport, and maintain dental instruments and clinical supplies </li><li>Load and unload instruments and equipment at each location efficiently and safely </li><li>Assist periodontist chairside during periodontal procedures </li><li>Support general dentists and hygienists during non-periodontal weeks </li><li>Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and accounted for </li><li>Maintain high standards of infection control and clinical readiness across all locations </li><li>Collaborate with multiple teams across different office environments </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment </li><li>Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date) </li><li>Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care </li></ul> <p>About Us</p> <p>Benefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off ("PTO"), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.</p> <p>Smile Brands supports over 650 affiliated dental practices across 28 states all focused on a single mission of delivering Smiles For Everyone!
