<p>The vision of the Arlington Public Schools is to be an equitable educational community where all learners feel a sense of belonging, experience growth and joy, and are empowered to shape their own futures and contribute to a better world.</p> <p>POSITION: School Social Worker</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other Mental Health Field </li><li>LICSW, LCSW, LMHC in Massachusetts </li><li>School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor License </li><li>Experience working with elementary school students, supporting social emotional and behavioral health </li><li>Experience working in a therapeutic and/or school setting </li><li>Experience with culturally responsive pedagogy and practices </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: School Principal and Director of SEL & Counseling</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Individual and group therapy with identified students</p> </li><li> <p>Consultation with staff including coaching and professional development on social/emotional curricula</p> </li><li> <p>Parent trainings and outreach</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical crisis intervention, including assessment and facilitation of hospitalizations when necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Case Management</p> </li><li> <p>Participation in student IEP/Team Meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned by the School Principal and Special Education Coordinator</p> </li></ol> <p>Additional Skills:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience with data collection and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to support improved academic achievement for targeted students</p> </li></ol> <p>Full time, 183-day, School Year Position</p> <p>Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association.</p> <p>The Salary Schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience.</p> <p>Arlington has a well-established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the 2025-2026 school year will be August 27, 2025.
